Made ya look! wink

I took my boys (ages 2 and 5) on a scouting trip yesterday. We checked out all of the put ins on the Wynoochee. It was running a bit off-color, and high. Saw some plunkers at a few of the put-ins, but no fish caught.

We then came back down the west Satsop road and the river had come down a bit, and was also running high and a bit off-color, but not coffee and cream. There was a nice 12" layer o fresh topsoil deposited on the Hwy 12 ramp, courtesy of the river.

My youngest and I talked with some folks in a nice Fish Rite sled, red and black, with a Mer 225 EFI tiller jet, red Suburban type tow vehicle. (Anybody from the board?) They were nice enough to show us some NICE silvers they had caught, two fish around 18, and one that looked about 12.

Didn't see any pigs, the feral ones.

Andy

It all boils down to this - I'm right, everyone else is wrong, and anyone who disputes this is clearly a dumbfuck.

Cy,

I don't think I'd try the Hwy 12 ramp without 4x4. Lots of mud on the ramp and in the lot.

PP,

I saw a number of spots, over 20, where slides had been cleaned up along the roadway going up the Wynoochee road, and a few on the Old Wynoochee road. The put-in under the Wishkah/Old Wynoochee rd bridge was very rough. There was one just past mile 11 that was on good shape.

The Geisler road take-out was in good shape, but the plunkers were parked ON the ramp.

ONE-EYE,

Bring a square ended shovel, and you should be able to dig a nice trough. Most of the dirt has been shoved out of the way already, so it shouldn't be that much of a job. Be prepared.

Like I said before, The ramp at Highway 12 is a 4X4 show. Maybe the guy that had his Astro mini van stuck trying to pull his sled out did not believe us. He was fortunate that another 4x4
pulled him up the ramp. With only one ramp to launch a boat from problems occur ie..no one else can put in or take out.
