I bought a pair of these overpriced waders 2 years ago. as much as I love them, I spent way to much for them. I now have a leak in the a_ _ area and it looks like a seam problem. The patch kit that come with the waders said that the kit would not work on seams and to contact Sims. Is this something covered under a warranty? I figured I was probably screwed, in that it's been two years. If I remember correctly they had a lifetime guarantee?

Anyone have these?

I've had my Guideweights for a little over 2 years now. No problems yet, and I give them a good workout. Yes, I believe the lifetime warranty still applies. Try calling Ted's in Lynnwood. They could answer your questions I bet.

They will fix the leak at either no charge or a small cost. If it is a small leak it should cost you no more then $10-$15.

Simms make awesome waders but there warranty service is second rate. Its too bad.

All I own is simms products, they are the best!!!!
I sent back a pair of trashed guide wieght waders at the beginning of the month and they fixed them perfectly and had them back to me by the 15th of dec and only charged me 25.00
What a deal, they rule !!!!!!!!!!

great, thanks for the advice. too bad I didnt send them in while I was waiting in Montana for my steelhead trip in January, I could have had them fixed by now.

They are great waders, just exspensive!

Next time I would suggest taking a hard look at the Dan Bailey's brand of breathables. Half the cost and a much better warranty.
