I'm looking for old style Okie drifters preferably in the nail polish pink color that Bill Herzog likes. Any help would be appreciated.

I know a guy who use to work for the company and he had stockpiled boxes full of the okie drifters, the only problem is he does not have any of the smaller size left. Only the mid size and larger. He also has quite an assortment of colors.

I like the okie a lot in the color you discribe. I went through my wife's finger nail polish and found some great shades of pearl pink. The brigher ones may take a few coats to cover the original color, but you truely get some unique bobbers. Anyhow, give it a try if you don't find the color you like.

One more thing you can do to get the Nail polish pink color. Call beau-mac and they will specially paint them for you if you have them in a different color. You must have quantity for them to do so, or what I did was get them to paint me 100 cheaters in the size 12 in the nail polish pink color an absolute killer in clear water with eggs or shrimp. keith

How do you tell the "old" style. I just bought 2 6 packs of small cerise okies and the packs looked ancient. If these are the right ones the were in a 25% off bin at $2.19. Hmmmm maybe I'll go back and clean 'em out.

Buzzerbaby, The old style ones are made of hollow plastic. The new ones are solid, and are made of some sort of styrofoam. I've been told the old ones had the added attraction of making a clicking sound on top of the hook or bead as I prefer.

I'll have to take them out of the package, they looked like a harder material than the standard corkie. Thanx.

I found some old okies in my father in laws tackle box. They had been in there for some time. The "nail polish" looked much brighter than the new okies do. I bought some new ones and the pink was very dull in comparison to the old ones

Buzz, I have many of the new style foam ones and they are not near as good as the old ones. They are really tough to get in the size that is similare to a size 10 corky.

Steelhead Stew-
I actually have some of the ultra-funk "nail polish pink" real Maxwell Manufacturing Okies you desire. I can sell you 50 of them if you want at 50 cents each. I have more than I'll probably ever use, and you are welcome to some.
Be well, Bill Herzog

Oh Mighty Zog
I bow at your feet and pay homage while laying prostate in your presence. Are you and Robbo going to head out my way this spring to shoot a Midwest Steelie extravaganza with the TV hosts. Say the word, and I shall be healed.
I want to see you guys freak out our bug eaters when you bombard their holding water with heavy metal. Ain't it beautiful

Real Spoonman, Not to sound greedy or anything but would you mind selling me a few of those bad boys. I've looked everywhere for the orginals, or maybe you could point me in the right direction to a location that may have them without wipeing out your stash! Also I would like to book a trip with you and it doesn't have to be on the Olympic Coast or anything. I just want to toss spoons exclusively and I noticed we are pretty much neighbors, as I live in Puyallup. Maybe we can just journey off to the Green or Puyallup.... anyways let me know what you think, thanks alot. Jeff

Attention:
Have probably 250 Okie Drifter's from 25+ years ago. Fished those in the late 60's and early 70's. Went to "Sammy's, spin-glows, corkies, etc." since that period of time. Now fish.....rags, birdie's, cheaters.....someone make me a good offer for all the Okie drifters and it could be a Merry Christmas for you!!!!!
Lot's of colors!!!!!
