TO ALL OF YOU MUTHA PLUGGERS, EXPERTS, & FISHING PROS WHO DO CUSTOM PAINTING OF PLUGS & PUT LOTS OF FISH IN THE BOAT. I'M TRYING TO GET SOME CLUES TO WHAT PAINT WORKS THE BEST. I COULD JUST GO OUT & BUY SOME BUT WONDER IF THERE ARE MAYBE SOME I SHOULD AVOID. I'VE TRIED NAIL POLISH BUT IT USUALLY COMES OUT CRAPPIE. WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO APPLY THE PAINT? HOW MANY COATS? KILLER COLORS? PLEASE REVEAL ALL YOUR SECRETS, HEH HEH YEAH RIGHT, OR JUST WHAT KIND OF PAINT YOU USE. THANK YOU, THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

I don,t paint plugs but do some custom spinner spoon works and have found good old model spray paint works real good.Lots of neat colors to work with.I think us humans spend more time worried about how our tackle looks than the fish do.

ltlcleo if I didn't worry about what my tackle looked like I would probably be bored all the time. I saw a guy paint an all bright orange hotshot. He cut out thin pieces of tape and put it on the hotshot. Then he spray painted it black. After he peeled back the tape it looked really good being black and having orange stripes on it. Don't know how well the plug works, but you get the idea with using spray paint and tape.

I have to agree with you on that!!!My wife cannot figure out why I have to have so much gear in the living room all the time,Goto play with it infront of the boob tube.I have a fishng room downstairs without a t.v,if I was to put a t.v down there she would never see me!!
