If you could go on an all expenses paid, GUIDED, one day, river of your choice, where would you go in WA?

Either the SolDuc for Kings or Nats, or the Skagit for Nats?

lower quinalt would have my vote. steelhead over 30 lbs. silvers over 20lbs. kings up to 60 pounds. and if you hang out at burn hill long enough you might see a sasquatch.

Gotta be the lower Quinalt. It's simply the best steelhead fishing in the state. 30 pounders!!!

Thanks gentlemen for your input, I am planning a trip with a couple of buddies before the end of the month. The only thing left to do is decide which river. I was thinking the Cowlitz.

Carl, what do you want to fish for? You did not say. Warm weather or chilly? Does it matter?

I would think it would depend on what you want from the trip. If you jusy wanna fish a spot you wouldn't get to fish otherwise the lower quinault as mentioned would be a great choice. If you wanted to learn a certain method you might find a guide who is known to have that method as a specialty.
Or if you wanted to learn a certain river then pick a guide based on his knowledge of that tiver. It just all depends on what kind of a day you want to have.

If it were me i'd either go with J.D. Love on the Sol Duc or I'd go with John Farrar ok the Skagit. Of if i wanted to do something different I'd go on a saltwater fly fishing trip with hmm I hope this name is right Chris Bellows? Topwater charters.

I got to agree with Robert Allen. J.D. Love is an awesome guide up on the Olypen. Take a buddy and go in March or April, the stuff you learn and the sceenery is well worth the trip. We go with him every year and it is the trip we look forward to the most.

If I could fish any river it would be either the Calawah or the Sol Duc for the opportunity to learn new rivers and the chance at hooking some trophy sized slabs. just my .02

DON'T go to the Quinault! All you will be doing is paying the enemy your hard earned cash! This river is sooooo good cause they don't treat 'their own' like they treat the rest! Support Bob and float the Sol.. mad mad

Guided fishing trip of a lifetime? Babine river in Canada. I feel like I caught a whale just listening to stories of that river. That is one to save for for a year or so. From what I have heard and read, the biggest steelhead offered around.

I'd love to go to kamchatka, or the Babine system. As for the lower 48 I'd prefer the penninsula in the order of the quinalt, sol duc, hoh, calawah, queets.....
