I have never been to this river. Was reading a previous post about "If you could go on any guided trip where would you go" and the Quinalt seemed to be one of the big winners. Looked in the Washington fishing regulations and could not find this river. My question is why must you be with a guide in order to fish this river?

its on indian land, quinalt nation can fish it without a guide I guess

The part that is not on the reservation is mostly national park so is not under state regs,That is why it is not in the state regs.
Try doing a search through google and you will probably learn alot

Not only is the upper Q mostly in the park, but most of the rest is private property...

Does the guide have to be from the Reservation or can it be any guide.

indian guide is only required on lake and lower river
