Just wander how it fishes up by Granite Falls. Never fished up there but its 15 minutes from home and though about checking it out. Any info is appreciated. Is it worth it?

The fishing can be good as it can any where this time of year. I use to fish it mostly in the summer. It's been about five years since I last was up there, there were too many vehicle breakins going on and it just wasn't worth it. There is a lot of easy access to the river, it follows the road and a lot of camp grouds to park at that you can get to the river. Any place that is close to home is worth a look, there is some good productive water up there, good luck.

The S/Fork is open only up to the fish ladder at the Falls. It opens back up on June 1st. I fish it in the summer also. Went by the river yesterday and it was dropping but it was dirty. This was up where Canyon Creek dumps in. I live in Marysville also so I guess that I'm close too. It gets most of it's clay from a slide that bleeds all summer long. It's across the river from Gold Basin camp ground. Jim S. smile
