I heard today that natives now have to be released and I was wondering if this was true and what else may have changed. And also can anyone give me a report on the Salmon?

Fished it this morning. Lots of fish, but they are very skidish and tight lipped. Water so low and clear I could see the bottoms of most of the deep holes. Hooked one, but I zigged when he zagged and he took me under a log....need I say more!
My suggestion would be a small sized offering with a long lite leader

One good thing though, it was raining when I left. Might get enough rain to filler back up.

went to the salmon on new years day and hooked an unbelievable amount of fish. So many that I lost count. I was releasing them because the adipose was still in-tact on all fish. The park ranger later came and told me that none of the fish you catch there will be clipped. They just assume that they are all hatchery fish. The question is: How are you supposed to keep only hatchery fish when neither the nates or the hatchery brats are clipped. What the heck is the difference?
15 fish days are sure fun though. Try a nightmare jig with 4 ft. of flourocarbon leader. Guaranteed to knock em' dead.

It all boils down to this - I'm right, everyone else is wrong, and anyone who disputes this is clearly a dumbfuck.

On the Salmon, it's the dorsal fin that gets clipped instead of the adipose.
