when the water is low and clear and the steelhead are shy ,try the Egg and Eye. Its simply a pair of eggs tied in a spawn sack as eyes on a marabou leach.
I like to fish this from an 8wt flyrod and centerin reel loded with 8lb mono. With a 1/8oz shot this will strip cast into pocket water or seams .
