fisherdan, thats actually a grappling hook.( the corkie is made out of a basketball) i use the chopper to fish remote vancouver island and b.c. mainland rivers. i use it on the peninsula as well, especially when there is a couger sighting.

ultimate, i have fished with dogfish, and we did use vision hooks.

You go to southern California and find a really good high school running back with less than two felony convictions....... Then you 'dangle' his resume in front of a WSU football coach --- catches them Coug's all the time!!!!!

I'm a copter feeshin virgin too, Gooose. If I get the chance to fish with ya Bardo, I would bait that big hook with a couple elk steaks I can bring. "Here kitty kitty". But how much winch rating and lift rating does such a 3 bladed copter like that have? Enough to keep from getting yanked down by Timber Man if he happens by those steaks?

i dont usually fish for cougars in timbermans neck of the woods, he's cut all the good cougar holding woods down.

Elk steaks for bait, heck, we could have just swooped down and hooked a whole calf. Now then, how do you plug cut an elk calf?

Hey Better than elk shanks how about baiting the hook with that Rotweiler somebody wanted to shoot the other day.Kill two birds with one basketball.

Hell, that's a Tarpon snaggin rig if i ever saw one. Cut-pluggin the Tarpon is easy with my 5 horse Stihl, keepin the dam seagulls away is a killer though.
