That should put you near Branson Missouri. That part of the country has some of the best trout fishing in the country.
I would spend my time around Lake Tanneycomo, and Bull Shoals, which is just over the border in to Arkansas. The world record brown trout was caught out of the Little Red river, which is a tail race fishery below the dam system. That brute of a fish weighed in at over 40 pounds. With populations of 3500 to 4500 per mile, you should be able to muster up a bite.
Lots of the locals fish with red worms, crawfish, power bait, corn, sculpins for hatchery rainbows and browns. Spinners and rapalas work real well when they generate power, and the river comes up 5 or 6 feet. PAY ATTENTION TO RISING WATER WHILE WADING. It goes from dead calm to a raging torrent in just and hour or so. Mix of wild and hatchery fish. If you are a bug rod guy, try small olove wooly buggers (size 8 and 10) and sowbugs (size 12-16).
My parents live in Norfork Arkansas on the confluence of the White and Norfork rivers. Not uncommon to see 20 pound browns in 10 feet of water. The water is crystal clear, and those babies look like submarines. Shouldn't have a problem banking a 5 pound plus fish if you work at it a little. There is a fly shop in Mountain Home Arkansas that can help you out with more specific questions. Look them up in the yellow pages. If you are looking for a guide, Lonnie Cox is a good one, and is based out of the Cotter Campground in Cotter Arkansas. Hope this helps.
