I love those little PMA35s. Bought a bunch of them years ago just as they were going out of production, and have caught a jillion steelies and silvers on them. One pops up on ebay every once in a while.

Have you tried Johns Sporting goods in Everett? As a last resort you could go to Diawa.com.
I really like my Diawa's. You pay more for a Shimano but you don't get any more quality.
Good luck!

I have also fished Diawa PMA 35 & 33s for years. I've send several back to Diawa in California to have them services. Generally the pinion gear goes. Diawa has repaired and lubed my reels for about $30 and they perform like new. Lot's cheaper than buying new ones. I'd suggest UPS for your reels.

I have had one for a number of years and have caught a lot of fish with it. Last year my pinion gear went. That was after some 10 to 12 years of use. I dropped the ree off at Ollie Damions in Portland and got it back via the mail in about a week and half good as new. Ollie's has a web site and mailing it down and back was a breeze.

I have three pma 35's and one 33 also, and have used them in the salt for years. I am an avid moocher, and love the direct drive button on the reel. I am down to two working 35,s and the last time I tried to get parts, I was told that they were not available any longer. I even resorted to buying a Pma 33 on E-bay for close to $80 to rob the parts on it for one of my 35's. Wish they still made a reel with the direct drive option!
Good luck and if you do happen upon some extra parts....give us all a hint, I will do the same for you all.

New parts available here Southwestern Parts and Service

Check out Order Parts and schematics. I found plenty of information pertaining to your reels.

Thanks SkaGuy, that is a neat site and I am sure that I will get much use from it. I looked up a few of the parts needed for my Pma 35 and this was the response...Part # B85-9801 is obsolete or no longer available.
Oh well, those reels were from the late 70's early 80's if I remember.
