Hello All, I do a lot of jig fishing here in Eastern Oregon and i have noticed something different
this year. The fish are wanting different styles of jigs this year. As a Jig manufacture, I have
fished with almost every color and size. This winter they have been biting 1/16 or 1/32 more
then any other sizes. They are not hitting the traditional colors as well as in the past. I have
been tying up new jigs with lots off Krystal Flash and mylar and i have been murdering the fish.
The jigs i usually use for shad, are the ticket for this winters run here. Combo's of black and
other color have been the ticket here for many years, but not this year. Tie jigs that look
like 1/16 oz Christmas trees and fish on. Has anyone else noticed this subtle change in tastes?
Tight lines everyone, and take a kid fishing. Glo-A-Bou! laugh

i prefer th 1.25 ounce peacock jig myself. those tiny 1/16 ounce jigs just catch baby fish. kinda like going after a grizzly with a flea.

Wow eek I have noticed the same thing this Year.
A much smaller size and profile with some unusual color combinations have really been doing the trick this year.
I landed 6 fish on Thursday morning in a small crowd (blue creek) rolleyes while only 3 other were landed by guys fishing conventional color and size combinations.......Bring on the NATES...Os

It all boils down to this - I'm right, everyone else is wrong, and anyone who disputes this is clearly a dumbfuck.

Hey Steve,

Yep, I'm still probing the waters from the South Sound to Forks, and have been doing very well with jigs. Nice to hear you're getting some good action down there........gotta go watch the second half of the Super Bowl.

Talk to you later.......
