Come and participate, or just sit in, at the Wild Steelhead Coalition’s next meeting, on Wednesday, February 6 at 7 PM.
The presentation for Feb 6 will focus on how non-profit conservation groups can help preserve and protect fish habitat. Ramon Vanden Brulle, Washington Trout, will present an ongoing program developed by Washington Trout called “Habitat, Lost and Found”. This program is a “3-pronged approach” aimed at 1) correcting misclassified fresh water fish habitat in Washington, 2) assessing and analyzing artificial passage barriers, and 3) helping communities and business groups enforce existing laws.
An open discussion regarding the Wild Steelhead Coalition’s participation in habitat and conservation issues will follow along with updates on what else is going on in the WSC
