Heard something on the news tonight about a boat flipping on the lower Nooch. One man made to shore and Search and Rescue teams were looking for the second man.

Any updates on this story?

damn,, i hope he made it.. just think about if you were rowing and you killed your buddy!! that would suck hard core... man knowing it was your fault and all

Another reminder that even though life jackets don't look cool, they may come in handy. I heard it on the news as well, hope he is alive.

(Didn't see this post and started another, sorry.) I was just 1,500 feet below the incident when it happened. The only thing visible floating bye was what could have been the seat of the boat and and it wasn't that easily seen. I may have been walking in the brush when other things came by but it is hard to say.

Life jackets aren't as dressy as burial suits are, but if it's all the same to you all I'd rather wear the former than the latter.

Cabelas has a CO-2 activated lfe jacket called Sospenders that comes in two different models, manual or automatic. the manual you have to pull the cord to activate. The auto activates when it is submerged which could be helpfull if you hit your head before pulling the cord. I've been borrowing my buddies till I get the money to buy my own. A little spendy but well worth the price. It is light weight and uncumberson. I don't even know I'm wearing it. And I don't care if someone sees me wearing it.

Reminds of a story 8-9? years ago on the copper river in Alaska. Me and 4 other friends and the "drop off" sled dude and the water looked very nasty. I put a life jacket on and everyone was giving me a hard time but I did not cave in. That water looked very nasty don't be pressured by friends!
