there's also scuttlebutt...about 3 on a scale of 5 reliability...of closing down salmon hatchery production. Possibly leading to no fishing in the fall. rolleyes

Does "closed to all fishing" include the nets? I hope so.

everyone!

it will take a combined effort to keep or attempt to keep the hump open in the future. it had more fall chinook last year than any river on the penninsula. yet it was closed to protect those fish. there were so many chinook in late october it was incredible to not have it open to retention of at least one fish. i fished it on halloween from 11:00am until 4:00 in afternoon, and between two of us we hooked over 100 chinook adults and landed at least 70 chinook adults. we hooked a fish on every bait we put in the water for 5 hours straight. we fished 4 holes out of a sled below 101. get the proposal for rules and reg changes and help get this one back in order.

I read this board about once a week to get the skinny around the state. and I read some pretty ridiculus statements. but the last one about catching 100 chinook in 5 hours in the middle of the day is absolutely lying. that is a chinook to the boat every 3 minutes and even if we cut the number in half it is every six minutes. these fish were either hooked on tuna gear and drug to the boat. or they were outmigrating smolts. if you want credibility on this board don't feed us any ****. hey Keith where is the cure.
