Hello All! What a teriffic last few days I've had! My partner ("Big Bear" also known as "Torch" or "Torchman") took me out for my first time fishing the Penninsula. We arrived in Forks on Thursday and spent the day touring his old stomping grounds. Yesterday was a LOVELY day on the Rivers, which had dropped considerably and were better coloured than on Thursday or Friday... still high and fast, though. No luck for us, but how can you beat spending 4 days hip deep (knee for him, hip for me! laugh ) on the Sol Duc, Bogie and Calawah??? We may have seen some of you folks on the banks or heading down in drift boats. (We had one of our Border Collies, Kiwi, with us part of the time). We're heading back out next month (minus 4 legged fishing companinons!) and I'm really looking forward to it. Hope to meet some of you on Northwestern waters some time!

I'm not sure, since I've never fished there before... but I know lots of other folks here on the board have. We spoke to a really nice gent at the Bogie Hatchery that suspected the reason it was so slow (besides the water being too hight and fast for several days) is the nets on the Lower Q-River hadn't been pulled and fewer Nates were making it up the rivers than might otherwise. Things are supposed to pick up in the next few weeks though. I would love to hear how Sunday and Today have been... has the weather held out there?
