Like everyone else I made some rags.
I had 3 different colors of glo bug yarn & they looked killer.
I keep hearing that when using yarn it gets stuck in the fishes teeth for an extra second or 2 so you can get a hook in em.
So I say to myself, "Self, use lots of long yarn".
When I got my first bite on one I missed.
Of course I screamed, "[Bleeeeep!]".
I thought if I tossed back in there I could get em to bite again.
Yup, He took it down hard on the next cast & on my hook set I felt weight.
Pop, I felt it come out of his mouth. "Flock!"
Looked at my rag & all the yarn was covering the hook, so I trimmed it back until the hook was showing.
Next cast, FISH ON!!! 18 pounder.
Fish & learn I guess.
<^))Xx<

I never let the yarn hang past the bottom of the rag/foam body.It keeps the bait loop clean and easy to use with out the yarn gettin in the way.As far as hook's I run 1/0.Good luck,
