I just saw the video of the tug and the bridge last week at my 100 ton Coast Guard Class, it totally blew us all away that the tug righted itself and was running after going under the bridge. He hooked up the barge and continued like nothing happened; of course they didn’t show any shots of the back of his pants afterwards, he probably could have filled up another barge himself. laugh

unbelievable!!! I've been working on tugs for over20 years and this just blew me away. I find it hard to understand why the guy ih the wheelhouse didnt jump for the bridge when the boat went in irons against it. He had no way of knowing if the damned thing was going to come up. I am going to pass this on to the boys in the fleet.
P.S. Those coonass boys are a whole different breed of tugboaters!
