Can anyone recommend one for a day drift? Will be in Manzanita first week of April with the wife. It would be her first float trip. Figure may chances of getting out are improved this way. Would hope to do some steelhead flyfishing, but time frame may be a little past season.
Thanks to everyone who contributes to this board. I have enjoyed reading the posts these past few months since I have become a member.

Save your money. It's kinda late for that creek, unless you go up higher. Why don't you do a lower columbia springer trip?.. my 0.02 worth.

The best fly fishing guide on the Nehalem just passed away at 37 years old. Milton Fischer would have been perfect. He was awesome.
Guess that doesn't help.
I don't know of any other fly fishing guides on the Nehalem, but there are some nice nates this time of year. Big ones!!
It's open in April, (the big Nehalem, otherwise known as the South Fork) up to The Hiway 26 bridge at Elsie.
The North Fork closes March 31st.
You can fish Sturgeon, perch and flounder (The seals have eaten most of the flounders), crab...etc... in Nehalem Bay.
Check your regs, but I believe this to be true.
