I have a trip for the 19th and 20th on the Lower Quinalt. Would appreciate how the river looks and opinion if it will be fishable. Thanks for any replies. The Duck

Hey Duck in the Fog......who do you have your trip booked with? I've got another trip scheduled for March 19th too. I'm sure I'll be seeing you on the river. I'm going to guess we'll have to fish the top four miles of river above the clay bank. The vis has really sucked this year because of the clay bank. Reports have not been that great plus I hear the tribe is fishing five days a week!

at the end of the month, all nets go out and stay out, till fall. ( low blueback numbers)the river is out. the lake is whats making the river muddy.it turned over a month ago. if it quit raining today, it would take at least a week. you can email me next week for a report. i can take a run over there next week and check it out.

Hey I just got off the phone with Tandy my guide and he got three today. Said the water wasn't that bad and plans to fish below the clay banks tomorrow.

Question for 'ya bardo...take no offense as I am just playing Devil's Advocate.

My question is why do the Quinault's remove their nets from their own river when they realize the numbers are low yet on 'Whiteman' land they could care less and still net the rivers such as was the case this year on the Queets?

Just curious...

fishing was awsome last week and weekend, was really cool hooking fish in almost complete white-out conditions especially when the snow was falling sideways, the river is out and most likely won't be in fishable condition I'd say, if the rain holds up for at "least a week" even longer like Bardo suggests, if the nets do come out at the end of the month you know where you find me in April!
PS. Big nuts and Big bait the Springers are coming!
