It seems a couple of property owners took it upon themsleves to post and gate the gravel bar across from the white bridge boat launch. One suspected of being involved is a DOW officer and the the other a City of Aberdeen animal control officer. Both are property owners that believe they own the rights to the gravel bar. The White Bridge boat launch was name for the Bridge that crossed the river at that point. It was a county road and is still a county road, on both sides of the river.A fellow contributor to this forum addressed this issue by meeting with county officals and presenting documents to support his claims that this area is public not private.
I believe because of his efforts this area should be open again for bankies and boaters. Thank you Drifter. I am sure those that have to bank fish and know the limited public access of the Nooch will appreciate your unselfish efforts.

It all boils down to this - I'm right, everyone else is wrong, and anyone who disputes this is clearly a dumbfuck.

Thank you, Drifter.

I appreciate that you took the time to address this through the proper channels. We appreciate your efforts (at least I do). laugh

If it's public property we still park on the gravel bar, right? I was there on Monday & the gate was made of rope hanging on a nail. Had to take it down to turn around. The posted sign sez to protect the brown toad. I got your brown toad. laugh
