i know im gonna catch hell for this but here is a little survey...

who here thinks they should ban use of jet sleds on the nooch above the water intake or mayby white bridge??i saw sooo many sleds rippin' **** up around white bridge today...it was pathetic...some actually changed course just to come through our hole! dont get me wrong, i like sleds, they are great machines but cmon...some places they are just not ethical to be in. is anyone with me on this one?

I think they should be below the spillway. I think that gives both drifters and selds enough room. I put in at the cross over bridge today and am glad I didn't go from white bridge down so i had to deal with them. I have absolutelY no problem with sleds below the spill way. We should give some and they should give some.

PS thanks to the guys that gave me a ride back up to the cross over bridge this afternoon, if you see this. smile

I agree with PP. Below the spillway would be a good compromise.

sleds rolleyes rolleyes

I also agree that sleds should be banned below the spillway. My opinion is that it is too small of a river to have so many drift boats and sleds mixing together. I have a 16ft sled but would rather bank fish the Nooch.

Absolutely - no sleds above the intake. I fish the Nooch with a boat and I never fish above the gravel pit.

How about no sleds from the white bridge up? Kinda split the river in half?

no, they should be allowed above black creek..we take our buddies sled up there all the time, but i think actually the spillway would be better than the intake...
the region 6 office has actually been trying to get this to happen but it needs county approval, we all know how much of a shi-*t fest thats gonna be laugh

another side-note...the chehalis and nooch WILL be open for an extra 2 weeks...the runs are supposedly decent enough(not really)to allow a little extra time..wild fish release of course, but you can thump those hatcheries brats!

i spoke with the gh.county commissioners office today.they are aware of the problem and are contemplating a meeting in april or may.they said the more people that show interest in this issue the sooner they will try to resolve it.originally they sent it to the legislature, which sent it back to the county.kinda of a pass the buck issue.so give them a call(360-249-3731)or e-mail them and it sounds like it will happen a lot sooner.scott

I vote for Goose's idea except I personally would rather have the crossover bridge to the intake areas laugh

Goose, sorry man I forgot all about you bankies. We'll take our 12 miles and split it up with you bankies. You get from the spillway to the white bridge, us sledders (dang there I go again I hope they won't edit out that "S" word) will take from the spillway down and the db'rs can have the upper 12 miles of river. 6 miles for you and 6 miles for us. laugh

Does this mean no DB's below the spillway? Seems only fair.

i get it from my father...he thinks there is gonna be enough of a surplus(just barely), so the angler groups found this out and they were screaming at him till he opened it up, so thats the true story, the one that the dept will give u is that we have a large surplus coming back to both rivers so its gonna open, wild fish release of course but you can thump the brats
