West Marine had some nice glass polorized glasses for $12, I don't know if they still carry them. I liked them, I bought 2 differant shades. Cheap enough to lose!

NOW THIS IS A GREAT VISION POST!!! I wore cheap polarized glasses for 20 years. Two years ago I splurged on a $99 pair of Maui Jims at Costco. What a difference! Like comparing a Zebco 202 to a Shimano Calcutta. Worth every penny. Now I can't go anywhere without them. Funny thing is... I use to lose sunglasses all the time. You don't lose things you love.

Does anyone know of some online sources of cool PRESCRIPTION fishin' sunglasses? I'm nearly blind without my glasses thanks to 20 years of lookin' at the 'putor all day. Whenever I get the Offshore Angler or Cablelas or whatever catalog, I look at all those cool shades inside and just wish that they offered them in prescriptions. I'm always on the lookout locally at the eye places for cool shades but the selections are pretty limited. Anybody know of a place that has a decent selection?

Seacat, I got a pair at the Sunglass Hut at the Everett mall, I think there is a Sunglass hut at the Kitsap mall also, and they have 15-20 styles of polarized glasses with prescription. They are kinda spendy, but they have high quality glasses, Ray Ban,Maui Jim,Oakley etc.

Thanks HBP,
That's the kind I'm looking for...the spendy kind!
I broke my 5 year old Ray-Bans a couple of weeks ago and need to upgrade soon.

Seacat,
Call your opthamologist or optometrist. They usually carry a good supply of name-brand sporting frames and offer different tint options along with polarization. It may be less $ than a sunglass shop with less wait time also. That is were I got mine.

Seacat--Try polarized.com...great selection and good prices. Many top-quality manufacturers price fix to keep one retailer from undercutting everyone else. Polarized.com is at manufacturers minimum. I recommend MauiJim and Action Optics. Let me know what you think. Let's hook up at Manchester sometime.

Thanks cowboy for that suggestion. That's what I did last time too. I've found the selection at each place is kind of limited though, and I am looking for something a little different this time. But I probably will still go in a try on a few pair for size before makin' a decision. Goforchrome, thanks bud! That's exactly the kind of site I was hoping to hear about. Yep, they've got some cool ones all right. I'll have to email 'em and see how much additional the Rx is. Just price comparin' a couple of those Maui Jim's, they are the same price as in those catalogs I was mentioning, but if I can get the Rx through them with warranty that that would be real cool. Once I have that info in hand, then I can hit the pavement and see if I can do better locally. Probably not, but less money spent there means more money for the boat! Yea, shoot me an email to hookup for some fishin' in the Sound.

Yeah well yeah, I know I'm the only guy who does it from bank. Just didn't know how you sled monkeys do it. :p When are you going to interview me again? Gotta let me know before I make my tee time with Burt Reynolds and tv's Patrick Duffy.

Anyone know where I can get replacement lenses for my x-ray glasses? Or can anyone give me a better brand than Cracker Jack's? :p Ya see, when the fish aren't biting, you'll be able to see the contents of their stomachs to see what they'll hit. Yeah that's it. I have no evil or perverted intentions with these things, I promise. Ok, well they weren't evil intentions. How 'bout that?
