The weatherman lied yesterday and said it was supposed to be nice today, so I was able to convinc my wife to float the Kalama with me. It pissed on us pretty much all day, and she doesn't do well in the cold. At least I did pick up a nice 10lb chrome Steelie. I was pretty proud of the wife too. I could tell she was colder than hell and she didn't ***** once. Hell, my black lab was whining more then my wife. It was a good day.

Thats pretty funny considering that I have wife that is a fair fishing fisherwomen{likes to go when the fish are in} and a cold blooded lab mix.

I know there is something wrong with me when my lab doesn't want to get out of the wagon to go fishin because the weather is so bad , but I make her!

Well Tbone you did better than me. I was droping my boat in when you had the steelie on nice fish I did not get a thing. I was looking for springers I guess I was a bit early or are the springers late????

Drop me a line when the springers get going on the Kalama. I need to do an undercover trip to that river. I havent fished it for springers yet and thats the only species I havent caught on that river.

Since Im not up there all the time anymore I dont have the inside info on the river.

Curtis and I got one on the Zipperlitz. Looked like the freedrifters were doing pretty good, at least a fish a boat. Glad we didn't drive the extra miles. That's a rough day for us.

Kinda off topic, but does the Kalama river clean-up only happen once a year?

They RDL the clean up's happen 3 or 4 times a year we are trying to set one up right now for mid april we will post then a date is chosen.

There were actually some people picking up trash at Modrow on Sunday when I was taking my boat out. Makes you feel pretty good when you see people cleaning up.
