Strike up a friendly conversation with a fellow fisherman, be it wherever, normally leads to a friendly exchange of information. Of course the portion of information useful to you becomes incorporated into your bag of tricks. The more friendly conversations one has...the larger the bag of tricks. It sounds so simple...and is!

On the other hand, start a conversation out with a fellow fisherman for the sole purpose of extracting his brain and most often you will be walking away empty handed. Then what? They become an elitist a** worthy of your damnation? Could it maybe have been you tactful way?

I looked down at the stretch of sand that I crossed on the way to the large run, holding hundreds of toadies. I looked back, and only saw one set of foot prints.

That's when Fish Jesus carried me.

Damnit hawk, I just launched my gum outta my mouth and it stuck to my monitor, along with dozens of small droplets of spittle. The two bright points were that the gum didn't hit the ground and was therefore still chewable and that those droplets make a cool rainbow effect when one is hopped-up on Red Bull.

Hey Jesus. Come on out in the spring some time, and I'll take you fishin. Robbo, Rat, and Sparky keep saying they are going to do it. Would love to show you some numbers. It's combat, but plenty of fishies to go around. Maybe we could go hit steelhead Alley in Ohio,Pennsylvania, and New York on a week long Steelhead Burn in Hell Fishin Marathon.
