Saw this in the paper today:
".....Sunday was the first day this year when the daily count of adult spring chinook passing Bonneville Dam surpassed 1,000, bringing the count to nearly 8,000 this year. That compares with 62,800 counted through the same period last year."

Only 8,000 compared to nearly 63,000 this same time last year. Isn't this supposed to be a banner year again? Are the fish running that late, or was there a major miscalculation? An 88% decrease is pretty significant.
