Same type scenario accept in Washington-now we have a 16ft Drift boat and still want to target kings for two weeks. Just seeing if it would make more sense to fish in WA then AK for kings during this time period. Possibly the Olympic Peninsula?

Thanks,
TaZZZ

The kings don't usually show up in force there till early October, and they've been closed for the last few years. I doubt this year will be any different.

This is a no brainer if you don't mind driving a little ways to fish a few days at the mouth of the Deschuttes. You can catch both Steelies and Fall Chinook in the Columbia.

Forget the fall nooks, ditch the boat, and fish the mighty Fraser for big summer kings and tasty socks during mid July through August! wink

Throw a small motor on it and fish Pt. Defiance for nookers. That is the peak of the run through there.
