I have not made any comments on the "other "bait ban" issue because I had already run a very similar thread last month titled "Survey to Ban Bait usage" (3-9-02). I knew that it would most likely generate a lot of emotion, so I specifically asked everyone to just answer the survey question simply "yes or no".
Just like the "other thread" human nature couldn't be stopped, and everyone started to get sidetracked on other issues. So I thought that this would be the appropriate time to show the results of my March 9 survey.
The thread was 3 pages long with various answers. I went through all the replies and found that there were 3 basic answers that were given. These are the final results on the bait ban survey; only 6 members wanted a "total statewide bait ban". 15 members wanted a bait ban on certain rivers at certain times. But the overwhelming majority (49 members) were opposed to a statewide "bait ban". So it goes to say, that the vast majority of board members are not in favor of any "state wide" bait ban at this time.
Like "The Really Big One" has already said; "I think it's time for this one to go to bed as well."

Is the taste of the bait worth the sting of the hook????
