Any recommendations on best place (motel or campground with running H20) to stay in Neah Bay?

Thanks!

We stayed a couple of weeks ago at Snow Creek Campground just off the reservation. At the time, they had a water pipe break so there was no running water other than the creek running through the camp ground. They should have the problem fixed by now. eek

Check them out!

I always stay at the Cape Motel...upper rooms have kitchens and a balcony...kinda nice to watch the sun go down from.

We stay at Snow Creek, have reservations for four 3 day weekends June & July, they have campsites, RV sites, and last year added cabins. They have a rail launch with dock and bouys. Costs about a quarter for a quick shower, half a dollar for a good one.

The Silver Salmon used to be a pretty decent place as well.

Jerry - Does staying at Snow Creek add a lot to the run to Swiftsure or Tatoosh? - My boats pretty slow, tops out around 18 mph.

Thanks for the help.

Chip, It's about 2.5 miles from Snowcreek to Waadah Is. at the Neah Bay breakwater.

Chip, My recommendation would be the following: off reservation-Snow Creek, On reservation- The Cape, it has a nice grassy area to pitch a tent or park the RV. Good Luck

Chip I recommend the Tyee Motel in Neah Bay. I belong to a fishing club that travels on trips through out the Northwest, and when we go to Neah Bay we always stay at the Tyee. It can accommodate
large groups or a single family. The rates are very reasonable(Cheap)but has great service. Its also has a RV Park with full hookups, restrooms,
showers, telephone, and boat moorage. We always stay at the Motel. It has some large units that can sleep six with seperate bedrooms. Also smaller units. It is easy to find what you want.
Some come with kitchen(completely furnished),
Television, laundry,Pay Phone. Walking distance to general store, restaurants, and museum. It is run
by Roland & Harriet Hays. Phone# 360-645-2223. We are going back in July. Good luck and good fishing.

Thanks all for your help! Tyee it is (no other rooms anywhere else) - I believe I stayed there once a long time ago.

Good Fishing.

Is there another private campground just out of Sekiu? I know it was there but can't spot it on the Gazateer. It was on one of the Rivers out there. Is that snow creek? I remember a post about them (or someone out there) having very good Hamburgers.

No burgers at Snowcreek unless you cook them yourself.

My good buddies brother is coming out from Utah sometime in August. We are planning a trip out at that time. I have been known to "drop in" from time to time. A few years back another friend had a little Cessna. we would fly out and drop down to Olson's. That was a blast! An hour out, and less back.

This year I hope to get out there with yet another friend, who has a 32' Grand Banks.

That's along ways to go to say "Yeah, I'll be there" wink
