Need a place around the Puget Sound area, preferably south of Seattle. Point Defiance doesn't have any, so that's out. Anywhere else?

In Gig Harbor next to Anthony's theres a supermarket, they always have herring there in the back of the store on your right. Hope this helps..

hey I got a buddy in the herring business, I have about 15 dozen horse herring probly more if anybodys interested in some. there in freezer bags but there quite large from last salmon season. to big for salmon around this part. let me know if interested. Ben

The Pt. Defiance boat house is the only place I know were you can get LIVE herring in the south Sound. They don't last very long though.

I was looking for some on Friday and got the same answer from Narrows and Point Defiance, the herring are still running to deep for the nets to reach! Try jigging some, they are easy and fun to catch.

Unfortunately, I don't have a boat. So buying live herring is the only way I can get it. I need live for lingcod bait.
