Today hubby has a variety of 3 or 4 colors around
the monitor screen. The center is kind of a #@^%&$$%% yellow brown. Am I gonna cry?
Ran a virus check and got a clean reply.
Underneath the screen he has a row of something
buttons and it says precision focus.
Appreciate any knowledge. Saw this once before
after a child passed a magnet under the computer
table.

Most monitors have a way to "degauss" the screen, either with a button specifically marked as such or through an on-screen menu selection. Either way, this is what you likely need to do to get this fixed. If that doesn't fix it, then check the cable connection from the monitor to the back of the computer.

If THAT doesn't fix it...RIP.

It may need to be demagnetized.
Unplug all electrical connections, and take a metal object, anything, like a knife, etc... and place it on all three plug in thingies.
This worked for me once.
Just make SURE that they are all unplugged!
Plug in and see if it works.
I couldn't believe it, but it fixed mine during really cold weather once!

Gotta tell the story...
One time in my third grade class, I had my back
to the computer which had a little girl working
on it. We also had a table of magnets for science
and this little gal had picked up a magnet and as
she was working was running the little magnet under the table. The kids are going ooh and aw and I turned around to look at the wonderful rainbow screen she had created. And that did in
the screen. That's why I was in panic mode...

I do the same thing at work with magnets !!!!!!!!! It is great entertainment for long cycle times on CNC machines !!!!!!!!!! Haven't fried one yet.
