A couple of weeks back I shared the story about a guy throwing a 30 foot leader @ Barrier. Yesterday, when the river was running around 11000 (by the way what's up with that?) The same guy was throwing the same type of rig but with two seperate leaders. It looked like he had a three-way swivel. The end with one circle was attached to his main line. On his main he had a bead with a 1.5 oz. or so sliding weight. From each end of the three-way was a seperate 10 foot or so leader. Now that was impressive.......I can only imagine what hooking into 2 steelies would feel like. Break out the meat rods! This guys a genius

Separate hooks on more than one line is ILLEGAL.

You can have up to 3 hooks on ONE line, not 3 hooks where one is placed on 3 separate leaders.

Get his tag number. Then go ask the guy if he's from Renton. He's infamous.

I would love to see him hook two fish at once! SNAP! goes the rod. As for the two leaders, you can use them, the three hooks one line rule is being followed. The line is the main line. Not how many leaders you use. It is the same as using dropper rigs for crappie and surf perch. Although unethical, this dude is following the rules. The ones I can't seem to understand is the Dart fisherpeople down there. How in the heck do they keep hooking the fish in the mouth? I saw five fish hooked last week by them and everyone was fair hooked.

I believe two single hook leaders are legal in fresh water. I've seen lot's of plunkers and lake bank fishers use that technique. The regs really don't specify except to say a single line.

Two hooks on one line is legal in Wash. Plunkers do it all the time. We call it a double riggin. I have hooked two summer steelhead at one time with this set up. The fight wasn't all that spectacular as the fish were pulling against each other the whole time. Only beached one of the fish-my dad knocked one off with net. It was pretty neat to see though.

If you think that lining and snagging are the same thing, then don't line any fish.... Simple as that
