I was talking to a friend of mine and asked him if he knew what kind of fish I used to catch, and he didn't. Back before the mountain blew it's top. My step dad would plunk on teh cowlitz just below Castlerock. Any how we used to catch fish that he called sun fish? The sort of looked like rally big gold fish, they were orange and white, He used to call them trash fish. I am just wondering if anyone knows what I am talking about, and may know what they were?

If that is the fish, it is what most folks call a sucker.

Andy, you are one funny guy!! No they didn't look like that, I know what a sucker looks like. They were actually orange on top with a darker strip down the middle and the bottom part was either silver or white looking, and the mouth was more normal like a salmon. They were actually about 2 to 3 lbs in size. Like I said this was on the lower cowlitz before the montain blew, and that is over 22 years ago. So I am just wondering of some old timmers might know what kind of fish these were, and if they still exist?
