Hey guys...........looking to take some outa staters sturgeon fishing in early to mid July. Any reccomendations as to where and a reputable charter? Any help much appreciated..........Thanks

We always did well with Coho Charters out of Ilwaco. We never fished for them that late though. Usually in spring.

Coho charters are a pretty good outfit.Especially if you go out with Tony.
You better hurry though.I believe sturgeon fishing closes July 15.
I'm sure you will still most likely limit out.The fishing stays pretty hot till about sept. usually.

Do you know if Hank Pine still skippers the Reel Fun? It's been about 10 years since the last time I fished with them.

We stopped at the John Day boat ramp last Sunday and it was limits for all boats while we were there. You might want to check it out. If you are not familiar with the John Day ramp it is about 5 miles up river from Astoria. There must be some guides on the WA side that fish the same water. Most of the boats had guide service names on them.
