Can any of you WET-Siders please let me know if its worth a 6-7 drive this weekend? I've had a cabin booked for several weeks but see 1/2 inch rain predicted for Friday and already high flows? I planned on banking the Hoh/Bogey/Sol Duc/??

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Dry Sider - Are you afraid you're going to grow some moss if you fish in a little rain? :p The rain should move some fish up and put them on the bite. Don't forget your raingear. frown Might go up next week myself or try for some silvers off the beach. wink

S-Man,

Thanks for the advice. Sivers from the beach huh? Whats the skinny on that? Surf Rod/Fly Rod? sounds interesting.

For silvers off the beach a steelhead setup will work.
I use my med freshwater spin reel and an 8'6" med action rod. works fine and is fun.

All I have to say about melting in the rain is this:

Small cabin on the river + three kids(boys) + Wife + Outhouse + outside shower+ Constant Rain + THAT TIME OF MONTH! = @!&^%$*&

Lip Ripper,

Did you find a good deal on a cabin? I am planning a trip up later in July, and am looking for a spot. Was thinking Seiku, but all the rivers on the west side are sure tempting.

Just drove back from Hoquiam. Hoh is going, the Bogi is gone and it's raining like a double cunted cow pissin on a flat rock. I would wait a couple days before you head this way. 1" of rain at 5:20pm and thats from the TV. I'm sure it's rained more than that, the community channel gauge aint all that accurate..... Good luck!!!!! cool cool cool
