I am looking for a inexpensive downrigger. What are some good brands and what should I look for in them.

Any advice would help. smile

You could cruise some of the pawn shops and find some old penn cranks for $40 - $60 a piece. I bought two Penn cranks from a pawn shop in Everett about 5 years ago for $40 a piece and I've never had a problem with them yet. Check E-bay out to.

I also like the old penn manual d. riggers, have had both penn and scotty and liked the penn's more.
