I was watching the news this evening and they made mention of floatplane accident in Alaska.

They were in route to Lake Illiamia along with another plane for a flyfishing trip which they had done many times before when the plane was lost.

They were from Kent on a trip arranged with the Kent Senior Center...at this time there are is no word on survivors.

An incident like this touches very close to home when yourself and/or fellow freinds and family make trips like this every year.

Lets all hope that they make it out alive and my condolences if they do not to anyone on this board that was freinds or family with those involved.

i can personally say i know the feeling,we were very lucky to have lived through the same thing at lake illiamia our float plane crashed at the mouth 3 years ago, my sympathy goes out to family and friends, doug

Son of a gun! JohnnyCoho and I took out a big group from the Kent Senior Center back in January. They were really excited about their trip to Illiamna and fishing in general, and were awesome to spend the day with. That really sucks!

All 4 men were killed in the crash as reported in the Seattle P.I. The 3 fishermen and their pilot. A sad day, and one for our prayers.......c/22
