Thanks Divers

I think I may like those Orvis ones better.

In addition to the Chota wading sandal, there is another one made by an outfit called Bite, in Preston, WA (www.biteshoes.com). I believe Dan Bailey also markets a wading sandal.

Hey,

I do alot of wading, in summer I wase wet with tennis shoes, preferably high-tops. I've found shoes with minimal support on the sides cause great pain when my foot gets wedged between rocks. It looks like that may be a problem with these sandles. They look nice though and if anybody saw me on the water they'd sure be impressed! Now if I could only do something about the driftboaters and fellow bankies that ask "aren't you could?" because I wade wet 8 mos out of the year....

Forgive me, too much caffeine.

I have a pair of the Chota's that I found on closeout at GI Joes for $7. At first I thought I would wear them all the time, however they very rarely get used. The problem I have had is with wading in any decent sized rocks, your toes get constantly smashed as your foot searches for firm footing. Makes for some very uncomfortable wading. A heavy neoprene sock under my normal Danner wading boots has been a much more comfortable option.

I hear ya I have also waded in sandals while doing bank fishing. Did it once and will never, never wear them while bank fishing again.

However if you are just hopping in and out of a boat all day, sandals seem like they would be ideal.
