has anyone here gone on their on the water course? was it worth the 550 they charge? I plan on getting a boat this winter and i've done most of my salmon fishing from shore or piers.

I say use that 500+ dollars and get yourself some downriggers or other equipment Ask the people on the board how to catch fish. Everyone is helpful if you provide a specifc question etc. etc, I have not done the course but 500 bucks can get you some nice gear. I would go out with you someday and show you what is up for free. I am sure I can't tell you all they would but hey it would be free., Sure alot of other people on the board would feel the same way Hope this helps

Keep an eye on their website, as they just recently put on a 4 hour shore based clinic at Pt Defiance which I thought was very good.....who knows, they may do it again sometime.

Alternatively, you could book a fishing trip with them and suck up as much information as possible while dragging a line around in the water.

Either way, they know their stuff.
