I need some info on beach fishing on the east side of Puget Sound, mainly for Coho, but Chinook and SRC's also. I've been hitting the west side areas (Point-no-Point, Twin Spits, etc..) with a buddy that lives over there with fairly good success.

However, the ferry ride over is a pain and I'm looking for spots a little closer to home (North Seattle). Not really looking for fishing piers, just beaches.

Using the search function I was able to find references to Lincoln Park and Redondo Beach. Can someone give more specific info on how to get to either place? Also does anybody know of any other places within about an hour of North Seattle?

The only shore bound fishing I have done is from the Bait Box or also Bush Point with live herring for Coho in September and October. That still requires a ferry boat ride but it is a blast! Live Bait 4 feet under a 2-4 oz banana weight under a big ass float! YEEHAW!!

On this side of the big pond you can fish any of the water front parks, They usually show up as green areas on the maps.

Pt Defiance, under the Narrows Bridge, Pt. Evans have all been good to me (also have had excellent luck off the old pier on Fox Island). Always had the best luck at dawn and there are less people too. If you wanna fish Pt D @dawn and the park isn't open you can usually park at the Boathouse and walk down the beach to the Pt from there. Good luck!
