I've seen quite a few boats in the northern part of area 11 and was wondering if anyone has found any hot spots yet.

Fished Dolphin last night, lots of boats but not a lot of fish. I saw a few caught but it sure seemed slow. I'm almost ashamed to say we picked up two and that was slow. Perhaps I've been spoiled by a couple years of good fishing. The thing is, we only had three hits all evening, two in the box and one fun 20" resident that was happy to get that hook out of his mouth.

Anybody having better luck anywhere else?

We have also been fishing dolphin pt and doing alright. I have heard from a few people that redondo has been putting out a few fish.

I fished Redondo and Commencement Bay but have seen very few nets out pulling in salmon. I fished hard the last three days at Redondo and Tacoma and pick up only one small king. It appears that the salmon are not in yet in area 11 or its an off year

I was out at Commencement Bay and Pt Defiance yesterday, the early morning bit at the Pt. was very good saw about 8 fish being netted, when it turned off people headed out to the narrows or Puyallup mouth. We fished the mouth and I pulled in an 18lb king. Saw several shakers.

We fished dolphin pt yesterday evening and got the skunk. Did see 2 fish boated just as we got there and then it died off. Miss two strikes and hook a few dog fish in the butt. The weather was great.Couldn't have been much better. Just have to try again tonight.

Any idea how Southworth has been? From the sounds of things Brace, Three Tree and Dolphin have been spotty at best. Where are these darn fish?

I really don't want to have to go back to Defiance again.

Kramer,
Southworth has been SLOW at best! Fished it last night and saw one fish caught. Just don't think many fish are coming through yet. Hope it turns on soon.

Spotty and slow to fair is how I would describe it. There are some fish out there, but not what everyone is expecting. No way. I didn't see any nets out last night landing any Kings, only shakers and blackmouth. Saw lots of boats though. Reports at the ramp were 0 for about the 6 boats I asked. Reports on the water were the same.

After an 0 for 3 outing mini-slump, my boat finally hit one at just after sunset last night. About time! mad Got 'em on the army truck coyote/flasher combo at 50 feet. Nice fish, high teens.
