Ok here is the question. If I was to fish the Columbia and launch from the Oregon side of the river would I need an Oregon license or is it ok to use my Washington one. Reason being I have a smaller boat and last time I launched out of Chinook it got hairy. Or is there another launch up river more on the WA side?
Thanks
devine

As for the launches I'm not quite sure of locations but as for license you will have no problems on the oregon side with washington issued permit.

You can launch on either side and return with fish on either side with a valid Oregon or Washington license and tag. I think both regs are the same except for the "party fishing" rule. No party fishing in Oregon, but it is ok in Washington. rolleyes

yes you can launch from either state, click this link for details http://www.dfw.state.or.us/ODFWhtml/Regulations/2002_Columbia.pdf

and yes on the WA side you can keep all lines in "party fish" until all limits are caught but, not on the OR side
