Notice the nets are pretty thick, but I haven't heard or seen much 'bout fishing. What's going on at the bubble?

I fished last Sunday morning. Nailed a 22lber and lost another at the boat over in front of the Turner Joy. Hit both fish early (6am, 6:30am) on the 40' hump B/T the T.J. and the ferry dock. Had the downrigger at 25' and both hookups were on herring hood 52" behind a green/glo hot spot. Marked fish everywhere we went but they seemed pretty tight lipped. Saw the fish checker report on the WDFW site and that was the only fish she checked that day for 15 boats. Ran everything except hoochies so maybe hoochies might be the ticket for 'em, that or the herring.

Heading for Hi-HIum Canada today for a 7 day Fly Fishing trip, chasing some Kamloops Rainbow. Hope the Silvers will be in when we get back on the 7th. Good luck!

I used to slay those fish over inbetween Illahee and the gazeebo.I would go out a good hour before daylight and cruise that shore looking for bait on the fish finder.More times than not I would find the kings feeding hard with the bait pushed up real shallow. You could usually hear the frenzy before the finder would let you know what was going on.I would cast hearring with a half ounce keal sinker into the frenzy and work it back real slow.It is hard to get them in with barbless hooks because a king caught in shallow water is a real bugger to controll.I have always done best with a good high tide at day break.I firmly believe that day break is the key to those kings. After day break it becomes a troll and hope show.

Last weekend I fished a couple of shore spots and found quite a few coming out of Dyes inlet with the morning out going, crackered off six in two mornings. The report of one being caught early in the morning infront of the turner Joy coincides with what I saw. Both mornings there was alot of jumpers below the bowling alley. That shoreline is the travell path for the incoming silvers also.Cruise it with a depth finder and you will see why.YOU HAVE TO RELEASE CHINOOK INSIDE THE BRIDGE!!.

Good luck,I am going to go hide back in a quiet little canyon sat.

Three of us in the boat Sunday morning. Hit the water at the crack of 7:30 and it was heavy overcast. Trolled 2-2.5 mph on the GPS and marked lots of fish all over the water column. Lots of boots jumping all over the place.
Threw the kitchen sink at them.
I got a shaker on a blue/glow flasher with blue/nickel coyote. 40ft wire in 75ft water.
8lb keeper on green flasher and army truck pt defiance spoon. 50ft wire in 75ft water.
One trolling with the tide, the other against it (pretty small tides on Sunday a.m.).
Flatlining one rod with 6oz banana sinker/ 00 silver prism dodger/olive apex picked off a chromer that couldn't have been more than 20ft down. That one probably went 14-15lb.
Skies brightened and bite went off. Didn't see too many caught that day.
All caught North/East of the Hammerhead.
Hope this helps.
Dan

I thought you were like me and Dangerous Dave and didn't have any time for fishing the next week or so due to work.
