Anyone have a recent history on Olympic Boats. Are they still in production? I heard a rumor that someone bought the molds and they are still being produced under a new name. Thanks!

I believe boats are currently being made from some of the Olympic molds. If you do a search for "olympic" on www.boattraderonline.com and get rid of all the Bayliner "Olympic" edition boats, you will run across an occasional 1998 or newer Olympic. They look just like the older Olympics. There's a 1998 19' hardtop currently listed for $35,000 eek

I would guess that whoever bought the molds and the name is "testing the waters" (pun intended) to determine consumer demand. Maybe it's just a couple Olympic old-timers that still like making boats smile

Regards.

Finegrain.

I believe Orca is now making the Olympic boats. Here is a dealer:

Thanks to all. I found them, The C-Dory company in Kent got the molds, so now they have Skagit Orca, C-Dory and Olympic. Pretty Impressive Line-up of serious water boats. No web-site though. Their number is 253.839.0222 if anyone is interested.
