Eggroller Try a small #6 or #4 hook with a pea sized fireball orange corky along with that use some eggs but not alot about enough to fit on your thumbnail. this will usally provoke a bite from silvers in a situation like this. Good luck

DM, Thanks much...eggs are about the only thing I didn't try today....I will give that a shot in the AM. fished hard until about noon, then the Indians (please no one turn this into a Native american hating thread) came in with one of their seines and pulled about 50 awesome looking chrome fish out. Hate to see that happen but it did show me that I was doing something wrong.
Another question that I had, seems that the high tide would be the best time to fish but at the high or an hour on either side everything seemed to slow down as far as fish rolling etc. Any one else have any other ideas???

Ok, gonna bump this back to the top in hopes of some more replies..been fishing this place for at least 2 weeks now. FISH EVERYWHERE. rolling like crazy. I have hooked 1 FISH in the 2 weeks. I am a glutton for punishment I guess but I am going to contiue to fish it until I figure out what works. I have used spinners, spoons, buzz baits, corkies and yarn, eggs, herring under a bobber etc etc etc. I have changed colors, sizes and all kinds of things any other ideas???
Thanks

Eggroller ,, I fish for silvers in the same type of setting... very frustrating at times,, try just the oppisite of what you think you should be doing,,, try casting a wiggle wart (pink or orange) and retreive it a good clip you dont want the fish looking at it,, you want him to stop it to see what the hell it is,,,,,, if a silver had hands you would never catch one in the mouth,,,,,, Im willing to bet you will have a hook up doing this...... good luck..... stick with the 12 lb (maxima??) let me know???

eggroller,, i agree with capt steel on the lighter test with bait in that situation but with wiggle warts you can fish 20lb if you can cast it,,,trust me,,, I fish a 12lb maxima bumber with 35lb tuff line when trolling... straight 12lb when casting..... if you got em try the wee wart also....

Always use 6lb test w/6ft spinning rod/reel. Been getting at least one fish every weekend in KC county esturaries some times more, like today at BB, Seabeck caught three. Mostly when schools are moving strong. Usually hugging along the shoreline.
