I was fishing the Green today using number 3 and 4 vibrax spinners. I hooked 2 silvers and my brother hooked one. The problem is, they have these little tiny trebles on them that look like they have no chance of holding a fresh silver. My question is, what size and brand of hook should I replace these trebles with. Thanks

don't forget the green has the non-bouyant lure restriction in effect so you shouldn't be using trebles...

cut off those trebles and use gamakatsu open eye siwash hooks, real easy to change, they crimp on with pliers.
use a size 1 siwash on the #2's and #3's and a 1/0 on the #4's and #5's

Go down to Sportco, they have Vibrax's with single hooks. You should be using spinners with single hooks anyway. Non-Bouyant Lure Restriction is in effect on the Green. This means you have to use a single hook on a non floating lure. Lures that float, for example Wiggle Warts, do not have to have a single hook, a treble hook is OK because a Wiggle Wart does float.

Jeez guys thanks for pointing that out. I feel like a frickin idiot now. I understand what that rule is for, to prevent snagging but still I should've read the regs closer. Thanks again guys.
