Fished Restoration Point Saturday. Got there pretty late, about the last 1/2 hour of tide change. Lost two right away, boated a 5# coho buck (pretty small for a hooknose, looked kind of funny), released two nice blackmouth and then everything went dead. Lots of shakers but nothing else would bite.

Talked with a couple guys up at Salisbury boat launch earlier in the morning that just got back from Sekiu after the closure. They were telling me that a biologist up there was saying that a good portion of the silver run 1/3 to 1/2 were still offshore as of last weekend. He was telling them that because of the dry summer and the warm water they just weren't coming in like usual. Is this possible this time of year? This is insane! If this is true the run will still be coming in in November. I don't know if I believe this or not but I won't complain if after deer and elk seasons I can go bonk some nice chrome hooknose.
