Jus got back from the Satsop Saturday got a nice bright silver chum, water levels are lower than low. look for the bigest holding water you can find. Lots of chum in them no silvers have come up yet that we saw and others I have talked to have seen them either. As I said lots of chum. fishy Caught and released about 24 chum before we caught a bright one. All the chum were in the 20+lb. range them some big dogs. That's all I have if that will help anybody. :p

Hey Redshark, best check the reg's. If they are the same as last year, all chums must be released on the Satsop's.

Don't want anyone getting into trouble over an over grown ghoul of a fish.

Did very well last year c&r chums this time(November) on the Satsop. fight

i landed several 20+ chum there today...i wouldn't say they average 20, probably more like 15...silvers got a lot of color and they're pretty small but they're moving finally..can't wait for the late run silvers..some of my favorite

Hey guys,

I'm planning to hit the Satsop this Sunday and was wondering any recommendations where to fish. I usually hit the hole up river once I get off the 101, where the dirt boat ramp is or I head up to the state park where everyone is usually is stacked up at. I hit this river for the Chums every year but always seem to miss the tail end of the Silver run <img border="0" alt="[fragile]" title="" src="graemlins/fragile.gif" /> . I'm figuring with this rain this weekend it's going to be worth the drive.

Fish on,

ErnDog

there were fish rolling at the dirt boat ramp..i tossed a spinner at them for a few minutes to no avail..and yes, there were a bunch of people stacked up at the convergence of the forks..start there and explore..it can be very rewarding

philpac33,

Hey thanks for the info. I'm thinking thats where I'm going to start my day and work down river. Buddy and myself trolled the Chehalis a week ago and was there ever so many Silvers down there, just couldn't get them to take any thing we tossed at them. Hope'n this rain will bring success. Thanks again.

Fish on,

ErnDog

Any Silvers caught? How was the water level. Do the Dogs have any chrom to them?

So did you fish up above? If so was there alot of people.

Good to hear you did good there.

Fish on,

I am with OS on this one....24 chums caught averaging 20 lbs? Me thinks someones scale needs to be recalibrated.

I was down there the last 2 days and landed a s-load of chums and none were in to 20 lb range....but most of them were bright.

A bunch of chrome silvers moved into the upper river this afternoon

You can't wade up to the forks this year, it is too deep, you have to come in from up above or across private property, which they don't want you to do.

Good luck
