I am making a retirement gift for my Dad. I'm making him a shadow box filled with gear, old pictures, and misc stuff. But, the big thing I'm adding to the mix is a busted fenwick butt section. Luckily, I can saw it off so that if fits inside the shadow box. But, now I need a reel to put on the rod. I don't want a fully functional reel. I want one that someone is about to throw away. It's going to be locked forever in a display, so don't need one that works. Just want it to look halfway decent on outside. Egg gunk is ok, just not scratched to hell.

So, if you have one, let me know how much you want for it. Old one's would be great, but would take a 5500 series. Any help would be appreciated. Need it pretty quick, so if I don't get one by end of Nov, will just go without.

I have a 500D direct drive - green, I never use. Make me any reasonable offer and it's your. I think a shadowbox would be a great place for it to spend the next few years. It does work - is that a problem?

I also have one thats about 10 years old. You can have it for the price of mailing it to you.
